The Horicon Suite

James Fennimore Cooper, author of the novel The Last of The Mohicans, once endorsed the idea of renaming Lake George to Lake Horicon, which means clear, silvery waters. The gabled bay window of the Horicon Suite allows you to watch the sunrise over the lake and the surrounding mountains. The chaise lounge and club chairs make the Horicon a fine place to get away. Its furnishings are lavish and soothing, as is the suite’s elegant-tiled bath, complete with an oval jacuzzi tub and separate walk-in shower.

The Horicon Suite is a Premier Lake View King Suite, located on the 3rd floor (off to the left of the stairs). An elevator is located down a short distance from this suite.

The sitting area is separate from the bed in this suite and features a closet (with an iron, ironing board, and safe), a mini-fridge with handled ice bucket, arm chairs, and a lounge chair. To the left of this is the king bed, as well as a dresser, a flat-screen cable television, a smoke detector (with visual and audio aids), a CO2 detector (with audio aid), an in-room telephone, and two armchairs.

The ensuite is of average size, with a larger single-stall, walk-in shower (with portable shower seat available upon request), a sink-vanity combination, a toilet (with portable grab bars available upon request), a towel rack, a garbage can, and 1-person jacuzzi tub (with small portable steps available upon request). Spacing within the ensuite may make for narrow room navigation.
